The tasting menu is an excellent experience. Definitely earned their new Michelin Star last night!
I loved the variety in the dishes and that they tended to veer away from the "California high cuisine" we tend to see on these types of menus. Every dish involves seafood, but don't think of this as a seafood restaurant in any way.
The oyster ice cream was a standout to me as it defied all logic in how good it was.
Service was exactly as I expected, unobtrusive but excellent. I enjoyed hearing the rundown of the wine tastings given by the sommelier to the person sitting next to me at the chef's counter. I appreciate a great experience when I am a solo diner.
The space is very similar to when it was Palette, just darker and cozier.
I did not try any of the drinks or wine yet as I was doing a dry evening, but am excited to go back and try the cocktail tasting menu.
